Batman Arkham City Review

Batman: Arkham City is the follow up to the popular action video game Batman: Arkham Asylum. The video game requires the gamer to develop skills of stealth and predatory tactics using a range of weaponry that was present in earlier versions of the series, but features have been significantly upgraded to include signal tracking, double zip line discharge and a grappling gun that can be used in mid air to keep you flying.

The game also incorporates the use of ‘Detective Mode’, a feature that is utilised to sniff out clues and perform forensic examinations. It sets many puzzles to be solved along the way in order to keep track of Batman’s enemies.

The player controls Batman as he travels around Arkham City fighting villains, completing primary and secondary missions, and bumping into many of his old adversaries and new enemies. Batman can move stealthily or employ a whole host of weapons to ensure his safe passage and the safety of the neighbourhood. Enhanced features include Batman’s gliding ability and an improved free flow combat attack system, a feature needed most desperately to combat the gangs that fight for territory and who can cause some serious damage to our hero.
